SABC 2 INTRODUCES NEW TALENT, NEW SHOWS AND SCHEDULE CHANGES
SABC 2 introduces a major schedule revamp starting from Monday, 6th February 2017, The revamp is aimed at creating pillars that will in a long term, attract audiences to a seamless viewing pattern.
Attached to this revamp is the launch of brand new shows that came out of the RFP as well as unsolicited proposals that will also hit the airwaves from the 6th February 2017 onwards.
The new shows that the channel will be launching in February include a music chart show Kliphard, starting on Monday 6th February 2017, a cooking show Geure Van Die Vallei on Wednesdays at 7pm, a game show Beter Assie Bure on Thursdays 7pm, a Variety show Red Cake Not The Cooking Show hosted by popular comedian Tumi Morake on Fridays at 7pm.
The channel will also be introducing a two hour block of Afrikaans programming in early prime time. Notable changes include the move of the channel’s long running soapie, 7de Laan to 6pm weekdays followed by the Afrikaans news at 6:30pm and the Sesotho news at 8pm.
The channel’s Afrikaans drama slot moves to 7pm on Tuesdays starting with Fees Van Die Ongenooides on the 7th February 2017, followed by the new season of Swartwater on the 14th March 2017.
Still on the drama front, the channel will launch a new series called, Bone Of My Bones on Wednesdays at 9:30pm.
SABC2 is changing the game with the new offering and line-up changes and they invite their viewers to join them on this exciting journey.
