Dr John Kani and son Atandwa Screen Credit For 'Black Panther'
The first trailer for Marvel’s upcoming flick Black Panther was finally released this week and it is AWESOME! South Africans will be proud to know that acting veteran Dr John Kani and his son Atandwa will be appearing in the film.

John Kani plays King T'chaka in the film, a character he is reprising from the 2016 Marvel franchise film 'Captain America: Civil War'. Atandwa Kani is playing the younger version of the same character.

The film also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
The film also stars former Rhythm City star Connie Chueme in a small role as a 'mining tribe elder'.

The premise of the film is set in a fictional African city of Wakanda, which is claimed to be hidden somewhere in Uganda. But, you might be interested to know that none of the scenes for the film were shot in Uganda. The film was shot mainly in the US and South Korea. The majestic scene with the waterfall that appear on the trailer was partly shot in Argentina at the Iguazú Waterfalls in Misiones.
