Trevor Noah Could Become SA's First Black Billionaire Celebrity By 40

SA comedian Trevor Noah has just signed on to host The Daily Show until 2022, a deal that is estimated to make him $20-million based on his current earning — but it could be more.

Noah is estimated to be earning atleast $4-million annually right now.  When Jimmy Fallon took over as host of The Tonight Show, his salary jumped from $5 million to $12 million. Noah's currently beating Fallon with millennials on tv ratings so that means his salary will likely increase within those 5 years and that could mean more cash for him.

Noah is rumoured to have earned in excess of R20 million from his sold-out Lost In Translation South African tour in 2015. In 2016, thanks to his successful tours and best selling biography, Noah's networth shot up to an estimated $13-million — that's a whopping 170 million rands!

To achieve the billion rand star status by the time he hits 40 years old, Noah will only need to be worth $76-million. Given his current momentum, that is a feet easily achievable by the SA star. By the time Jon Stewart left The Daily Show he was earning $25-mil.

According to Forbes, under Trevor Noah, The Daily Show is averaging 1.43 million total viewers in Live+7, up 15% versus last year and the show has a 0.69 adults 18-49 rating (+12%), passing NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as the No. 1 late-night show among millennials 18-34.

Those television ratings and the current earning trend of his peers in the US could see Noah earn atleast $15-million a year sooner than his predecessor Jon Stewart did.

Coupled with his other revenue streams, touring and book sales, Noah could easily earn about $25-million a year by 2020. And that's how he will hit that billion rand milestone by the time he is 40 years old.

Noah is currently 33 years old so he needs to earn atleast $20-million a year to hit the billion rand mark in four years.

What is a definite right now is that Noah will make the Forbes Rich List before 2020.
